$10,000 IN PRIZES TO BE WON!

The Challenge
In this contest you are going to be given access to a fully provisioned Simbian environment with a SOC Agent that has already pre-ingested and consumed a selection of alerts. For each alert, the agent has already pre-computed a verdict that you can inspect. Your job is to leverage the Simbian Reasoning Graph to find specific malicious indicators and behaviors – your “flags” - that will be revealed to you on the day of the contest. Your goals are threefold:
- Inspect the verdict and its reasoning
- Leverage the Reasoning Graph, as well as the AI Copilot and chat capabilities, in any combination to locate the unknown malicious indicators and behaviors.
- Complete the investigation to the best of your ability and submit your report – either fully trusting the AI, or not
Simbian will evaluate the results of your investigation and how many flags you were able to capture, as well as the results of any investigation reports submitted, to determine the winner of the contest.
Can you guide them to find the threats before the clock runs out?
100 Alerts to Investigate. Will you take 100 hours, 100 minutes, or 100 seconds?
Your speed and accuracy in identifying and mitigating these threats determine your ranking.
But worry not - you have AI Agents to help.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
When the contest starts, you will receive an email with all the instructions to access the platform, along with your initial credentials. These credentials should never be shared with anyone, including other members of your team. Sharing any access to the platform with others is grounds for immediate disqualification.
The software used in the contest will be entirely delivered via the internet. You will require a computer running a modern and up-to-date copy of either Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox web browsers. Simbian will not provide troubleshooting support for this event outside of those browsers. Using a laptop or desktop computer is highly recommended; tablets and mobile devices are not ideal for this contest.
The only other requirement is access to the email address used to register for the contest. In the event you no longer have access to that email address, please contact us at ai-soc-championship@simbian.ai as soon as possible.
Each team will be given a single instance (account) on the platform, that is shared among members – in this way, you will all be working against the same pool of alerts. Teams have been organized based on the team’s name that was submitted when you registered for the event. If you elect to form a team *after* submission, you must contact us at ai-soc-championship@simbian.ai before 00:00 GMT on April 4
At completion of the contest, all prizes won by a team will be distributed equally to all members of a team.
You must contact us at ai-soc-championship@simbian.ai before 00:00 GMT on April 4. All team assignments after this date cannot be changed.
Simbian Investigation Guides are playbooks that the AI Agent can follow to help it investigate a given cybersecurity incident. Unlike a traditional SOAR system, the AI agent uses intelligence and learned experience to decide which Investigation Guides to apply and when.
While the Simbian platform has full capabilities to automate response to alerts, they will not be part of this contest. Your work should focus on the steps needed to investigate the alert, not post-incident resolution steps.
In the event you run into an issue in the platform, please do not share it publicly in the contest Slack channel. Instead, report it to ai-soc-championship@simbian.ai. The Simbian team will promptly investigate the issue and inform you of how to proceed.
Once you believe you have optimally refined the Investigation Guides and do not have any more improvements to make, you can simply wait until the end of the contest. The evaluation and selection of the winning participants will be done after the contest end date (April 8th).
During the day of the contest, a leaderboard will be posted to the contest Slack channel at regular intervals
There are two methods of support during the contest
- The Simbian Security Accelerator slack will host a dedicated channel for this contest, which will become live the day before the event, and be staffed by Simbian employees for the duration of the event. You may ask any support or usability questions here that you want.
- You can email Simbian at ai-soc-championship@simbian.ai with any questions regarding the contest that you do not want to share with others. Responses to these questions may not be received as expeditiously as those submitted on Slack.
